The idea for the bike was geared towards a younger audience, just as Harley-Davidson is trying to reach out to the younger riders. We wanted to give the Forty-Eight a sportier look and feel. We accomplished this by lowering the bike, rear foot controls and lower handlebars on the forks. We have upgraded with Stage 1 Screamin' Eagle with a full Bassani exhaust.
For the most part, we followed the idea and as with all projects things happen and your idea needs to be modified to fit the time frame and available resources. I think Battle of the Kings is a great way for shops to show off some of their abilities. The process all together was great with more than enough time to get an idea and make it come to life.
My involvement with Harley-Davidson dates back to my childhood. My father and grandfather both had Harleys’ that I would help wrench on and ride around. I have been a technician with Harley-Davidson Trondheim for about 6 months.
