North Cascades Harley-Davidson® with Sedro-Woolley High School
THE CUSTOM KING
Learn by doing. It’s a simple concept that can pay off in big ways, and it’s the approach the North Cascades H-D® crew is taking in its Battle of the Kings partnership with students from Sedro-Woolley High School.
“We have at least 10 regular students here weekly, plus several others that have dropped by a handful of times” says Ash Friedrichs, crew chief. “Early on, we engaged the kids as a think tank to help with build decisions, they've been coming in regularly to work on the bike and we have also dropped off parts at the school for them to chip in and work on with the teachers.”
“It's great to give the kids a chance to do something this cool at their age. I just wish I could have had an opportunity like this when I was in high school!” Ash says.
Inspired by the paint job which will have a carbon fiber look to it, this Battle of the Kings entry is named “Carbon Fiber.”
