Custom King: Neil Sefton, 51, Head Custom Tech
Head Custom Tech at Shaw Speed & Custom, the customisation arm of Shaw Harley-Davidson, is Neil Sefton who built “The Edge” based on a plan by Shaw's Dealer Principal Steven C. Willis. “We have both worked at Shaws since it started,” said Mr Willis. “I have an understanding of what a customer wants and I give this to Neil who then creates something beautiful. We work well together.”
“The Edge” represents a piece of Harley-Davidson’s 115 years’ history because it’s a subtle replica of Shaws’ Strike True II custom bike that became the first machine from Europe – and the first Harley dealership entry – to win the coveted AMD World Championship for Modified Harleys. Could lightning strike three times? – Shaws “Beach Bobber” won the UK round of BOTK 2017?
